hope you are all well and loving the cold winds that are hammering the UK !
Just think if it is this cold here there must be snow falling in FERNIE!
I have been looking into getting my insurance and have found a good one ( i think ) at https://www.boardsure.com/quote.php
anyone recommend a good one ?
Also, i am looking for a decent park/ freestyle boot any recomendations ?

Couldnt believe it myself when I was walking home in a blizzard of snow the other night!!
Personally I recommend visting your local board shop and going for some soft boots for what best feels right, try a couple on and get them heat moulded.

• good plan
i saw on bbc weather that there is heavy snow planned for europe in the next few days. going to try to sneak over to europe for a long weekend before the trip.... every day is a drag now. i am itching to get out into the mountains and get lost !
good stuff on the boots, going to head up to milton keynes and have a little clothes (boot) show !
heading up to milton keynes on the 8th for a bit of boarding on the saturday if anyone fancies it ? i will be the guy in black jacket and trousers wearing a helmet  (have to to get on the rails

• countdown
I've got the clock countdown as my home page and i am counting every second.
Heading off to Europe for a warm up before the trip sounds like a quality plan to dust off the cobwebs.
Anyone thinking of getting body protection ie back protectors that sort of thing? knocking back the pain killers just to get going might wear thin after a week.

yeah i was looking a getting a jacket protector. there are a few good ones about but they are expensive if you want a full one. the demon ones looks cool.

Have a look of at http://www.timeanddate.com/ and you can create a countdown.
TSA has a Dianese back protector for £80 which I think is a good investment. Full body armour may be over the top.
Bought a helmet last season and saved me from cracking my head open in the quarter pipe.

Yeah, I got a helmet at Metro - it's gloss white with a removable peak, it goes well good with my orange goggles - I look like a Stormtroper wearing Skywalker's flying shades

I'm always game for a laugh Peter... Tom at NonStop mentioned there's a place in Fernie which sells hideous retro skiwear... so I'm leaving room in the case for a cheesy party outfit as a souvenir
