 • Have I got everything?
Okay, just over a month and counting!!! I've been buying my stuff for the past five or six months... but serious question, have I remembered everything?
Board (obvious, but the most likely I'd forget)
Boots
Big low-slung gangsta pants, like in the movies
Jacket
Neck tube
Gloves (and extra gloves to go inside those gloves)
Goggles
Helmet and beanie
Padded shorts
Shirt armour (not bought yet, but seems a good idea)
Thermals
Fleece trousers
Bloody big Burton wheelie board bag to put it all in.
And in the backpack...
Loads of fleeces and warm clothes
Digital camera and handful of 3GB SD cards
DV camcorder and fisheye lens
Old laptop for emailing people back home
Inevitable sack of cables, batteries and chargers
Credit card for buying all the stuff I forget to bring.
I think that's it, how's your stocking up going? Am I missing anything here?
Tom

I just ordered 2 pairs of the smartwool socks as they keep your feet dry and most importantly when they are taken off they don't smell to bad ( best idea as i'm sharing a room)
I bought some sound pads for the helmet. Tried riding with music last season and helped me relax and rode heaps better.
I think there is a pool there so i'm packing my board shorts for sure...
See ya laters

 Hey Tom,
Unless youve glued your boots to your board would recommend some bindings, though interesting way of getting over the dead flex effecting on your bindings!!
Also packing;
Hydration kit
Knee padds
Binding tool
Deep heat lotion
Hip flask (for those dutch-courage moments)

Wristguards added to the list! Thanks Matt, and I'll definitely get some knee pads too.
Bindings I have, but they are a bit rubbish, as is the decade old board I got off ebay - I'm likely going to replace both but want the fun of having at least a couple of things to buy whilst I'm there.
Scott - Totally with you, I'm compiling playlists on my iPod already

I,m taking my tuning kit so Tom we can get that base fast and those edges super sharp (not that it should matter much with all that waist deep Pow we'll be riding in)
I'm thinking it may be a good idea for everyone to produce a list of items to take on the blog as I'm sure I will leave something behind.
Snow boots or at least some warm shoes may be a good idea.

Nice one, I don't think it's ever been tuned or waxed so that's yet another thing to look forward to!
I've added some warm boots to the list as well, especially miffed about that because I had a really great pair that I chucked out in the Spring thinking 'Well I'm never likely to go anywhere I'll need these again' - dammit!!!

Oh yeah, lots of tea please... and I've a feeling I'll be drinking a lot of hot chocolate too and generally making the most of not having to cook anything for myself for three weeks!

Jeez... I just dropped £114 on a Forcefield shirt, but thinking it was a good idea. Apparently the British ski team wear them and I'm pretty sure I will fall over a hell of a lot more than they do, so I'm gonna be more padded up than a rollerblading kid with nervous parents!
I got Dakine wrist guards off ebay from board-worx.com for £11 - bargain!!!

The stuff I need I will buy in Fernie.
I reckon I should be able to pick up some good boots and extra warm clothing.
I think that you can take 2 25kg bags. One being a ski or snowboard bag. I'm taking the bare minimum of clothes and do heaps of washing.
No way I'm lugging 50kgs to Heathrow.....
34 days 15 hours 7 minutes and 58 seconds.....buts who's counting.

is it just me or now it has just clicked into december does is suddenly seem so much closer?
re: equipment, i shall be stocking up on a decent isotonic powder to go in the hydration pack and some decent snack food for on the slopes, all the hard ski/boarding combined with plenty of partying will require my body to be well fuelled to keep up with ya all.

Yep... same feeling here, not far off - it's now just at the end of the month!
I'm also getting that nice feeling of half extreme excitement and half 'what the hell am I doing' mild dread - like waiting in the queue at Alton Towers
